NEW PATIENT & BILLING POLICIES

New Patient Policies:

1. Clinical Preparation (Important)

• If there is no pain at the time of consultation, it is difficult to identify the root cause of your pain.

• Do NOT take pain medication before your visit to avoid masking of pain.

• Trigger Pain: Please perform the activity that causes/ aggravates your pain just prior to the appointment so it can be accurately mapped.

• History, Examination, Pain Mapping and Ultrasound Exam will be conducted to identify pain epicentres.

• Arrival: Please arrive early for check-in.

2. What to Bring

• Referral: Valid GP (12 months) or Specialist (3 months) referral for Medicare rebates.

• Clinical Info: Current medication list and relevant imaging (actual images preferred over reports).

• Forms: Complete the online Patient Registration and Chronic Pain Questionnaire before arrival.

4. Medication Policy

• Strict Non-Opioid Policy: Prof. Boddu does not prescribe or sign off on Schedule 8 medications (opioids).

• Our Focus: We treat the root cause of pain through intervention and exercise, supporting patients willing to wean off pain medications.

Billing Policies:

1. Fee Structure

• Initial Consultation: $475 (approx. 45 mins).

Note: Appointments >1hr incur additional $200 gap.

• Follow-up Visits:

  • Standard (25–30 mins): $275

  • Short (15–25 mins): $175

  • Extended (>30 mins): $475

• Procedures: Clinic injections involve a $200+ gap per injection.

• Telehealth: $175 (Phone) | $250 (Video < 30 mins).

• Third-Party: DVA, MVA, and Workers Comp are billed directly (approval and claim number required).

• AI Transcription: By booking, you consent to Prof. Boddu using secure AI tools (e.g., Lyrebird) to transcribe your consultation for clinical notes. This is voluntary. Your data remains private, and recordings are not stored permanently
